Earrings for the wedding season

November to February is wedding season: sangeet, haldi, mehendi, the wedding itself and the reception, often in one long weekend. Here is how we would pick earrings for each, as a guest or as family.

What should I wear to a haldi?
Something light that you won't mind getting a little haldi on. Small oxidised silver-tone jhumkas, studs or drops go with yellow cotton and florals. Studs and tops · Drops and danglers

And for the mehendi?
Mehendi outfits are often green, pink or multicolour. Oxidised silver-tone earrings with a coloured stone pick up the outfit without competing with the mehendi on your hands. Oxidised silver

What works for the sangeet, when I'll be dancing?
Long earrings and chandbalis look best in photos, but choose a weight you can dance in all evening. Every product page lists the size where the piece has been measured. Long earrings · Chandbalis

Which earrings go with a silk or paithani saree on the wedding day?
Gold-tone and oxidised gold-tone jhumkas and chandbalis hold their own next to zari. Gold tone · Oxidised gold · Wedding guest earrings

Something for the reception?
With a lehenga or a gown, one statement pair is enough: long earrings or a large chandbali, with the hair tied back. Festive earrings

I have five functions. Do I need five pairs?
Not if you pick two or three pieces that cross over: one oxidised pair for haldi and mehendi, one gold-tone pair for the wedding and reception. Buying several pieces together costs less on our Bundle & Save page.

Can I gift earrings to the bride or her friends?
Yes. Our gift finder narrows it down in two questions, and the Mystery Box is an easy gift for a bridesmaid group.

When should I order?
Orders are dispatched within 2 to 3 working days from Satara and usually arrive 1 to 5 working days after dispatch in Maharashtra and 4 to 6 elsewhere in India. Order at least two weeks before the first function to be safe. Shipping is free on orders paid online. Shipping Policy
